Chancellor, University of Texas
Dr. Mark is Chancellor of the University of Texas system. Before joining the UT System, he served as Secretary of the Air Force and later as Deputy Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). A distinguished physicist and engineer, he has made contributions in a number of technical areas related to National Security. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, he has written a number of books, the most recent being The Space Station: A Personal Journey, and he is co-author of more than a hundred scholarly articles.
